The Merrill Christian Bookstore was founded by New Testament Church, in 1989 to meet the needs of their local Bible College. A small area was set aside within the Church building and was staffed by volunteers. Soon they were supplying Bibles, gifts, music, movies and more, for the community and area churches. They purchased a building in the Down Town area of Merrill, hired a full time manager and staff, and continued to grow. Several years later, after a building project, a store was built on Church property and was moved on sight to N2519 Hwy K in Merrill. Now Merrill Christian Bookstore has expanded their market to the Web, enlarging the number of people they can reach with books that encourage and equip us to do what God has called us to do, as well as gifts and music that lift us up and Glorify God.
Founder and Senior Pastor of New Testament Church, Dr. William Hohman, often says, “A leader is a reader!” The leaders and staff at NTC Ministries are required to read on a continual basis. NTC Bible college students continue to purchase their books as well. Therefore a wide selection of material can be found on Discipleship, Leadership, Prayer, Parenting, Building a Relationship with the Father, and Bibles. The book store provides multiple titles on any subject relating to our Christian walk, including books and DVD series by Dr. Hohman. Every item, that is presented, lines up with the truth of God’s word, and all profit goes back into the ministry to further God’s kingdom.
What has taken place in our redemption is far beyond our human comprehension. Yet the Lord has given us certain words within the scriptures that help to give us a greater understanding. The word REDEMPTION means, "The act of freeing or state of being freed by payment of a ransom or price."
In this teaching, Dr. Hohman shows us by definition, Biblical truths of the cost of our redemption along with the guarantee for everything that pertains to this life and of Godliness. All of which is freely given to us because of our redemption. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Each one of us who have given our lives to the Lord are gifted mightily by God. These gifts are given, to get us up and over each obstacle of life. When Timothy faced many hardships, he wrote to Paul telling him how he did not know if he could go on. Paul, in response, reminds him, “Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.” 2 Timothy 1:6.
In this teaching Dr. Hohman brings out great insight of the importance of these gifts and how we stir them up into action, giving us an advantage in any trouble. It is of great importance for each one of us to use the power of God in our daily lives. If the gifts given by God lie dormant we become succumbed in our weaknesses by the continual pummeling of Satan. God has given us the empowerment to live victorious in this life. Let us stir up the gifts of God and walk triumphantly in this earth.By: Dr William P. Hohman
Because God is Love, He created man as an object of affection. On the other hand as Gods people we are to grow in affection towards God. John the beloved said, "We love him, because he first loved us." 1 John 4:19.
In this teaching Dr. Hohman brings out a dynamic revelation of how intimacy is to grow in our relationship with the Lord bringing about a transformation into Gods very image. When Jesus returns He will be coming for His bride that is without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. We will be the beauty that adorns our Lord for eternity. But this beauty is not from our physical earthly frame, but from the Glory of the Living God that is to cloth us here on this earth. Then He will come for us and we are to ever be with Him. HALLELUJHA! By: Dr William P. Hohman
What an incredible story. Abraham willing to sacrifice the son of his old age, making him the father of our faith. At that time, God comes on the scene and blesses Abraham for standing in righteousness. And just what are these blessings? The Lord tells Abraham, "By myself have I sworn, saith the Lord, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies" Genesis 22:16-17
In this powerful message, Dr. Hohman teaches us exactly what the gate of our enemy is. Then he teaches us how we, as the seed of Abraham, are now possessors, or owners of all that our enemy is and all that our enemy has. You will grow mightily in the promise of God, ruling your life in victory, as Dr. Hohman leads you this very important truth. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Jesus said in Matthew 13:52 that, "...every student of the Scriptures instructed concerning the Kingdom of Heaven is like a house owner, who brings out of his treasure things new and things old."
In this study of the Kingdom of Heaven Dr. Hohman brings to light all that is ours as sons of God. Some believers have the mentality that we are visitors in the Kingdom of Heaven, Some think that we are children of God but still have to plead to God for what we need, but Jesus said, we are house owners. As you listen to this teaching, you will be brought into a new dimension of faith and a new joy in living your life for King Jesus. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Our perception of God is vitally important to our immediate life. In fact, it is so important to mankind that in the Old Testament God gives us redemptive names of the Lord, which are to cause us to see Him in a greater way, this allows who He is to be manifested in us. If people see God as one who puts sickness upon them, then they will most likely not see healings in their lives. If they see God to be a healer, then most likely they will see God heal in a supernatural way. The same is true for finances. If people see God as one who takes, then what they have will be taken from them. If they see God as one who gives then the Lord will increase them mightily. All this happens because the way in which we see Him, changes the way that we respond to Him.
In this teaching, Dr. Hohman brings out New Testament scriptures that clearly show how we are to see God and how we are to respond to who He is. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Traveling through life can be difficult when we are not clear as to what road to take. There are two roads presented before each one of us. A road that will bring sure destruction and a road that gives us a life that is beyond whatever we could hope for.
In this single CD teaching, Dr. Hohman researches the Hebrew word for "King" which is "Melech". The word Melech is an acronym that reveals the road to God's abundant life here on this earth. While, the word Melech, if spelled backwards shows us the path of destruction, and is "calem" or the English word, "calamity". So profound yet so simple and so revealing, this wonderful teaching has blessed multitudes by clearly showing the road to greatness. The road that leads to life as God has it. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Heb 6;1-2 says, “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Two of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.” The first statement used, (Therefore leaving) does not indicate to go away from but gices us the meaning “to grow up from”. As an oak tree grows up from an acorn so every believer must grow up from these foundational doctrines into maturity.
In this faith building teaching, Dr. Hohman points out that of these five foundational doctrines, there is only one that is plural – “baptisms”. In a close investigation of this plurality of baptisms Dr. Hohman shows that there are seven and of the seven each believer must know which ones apply to our lives and how they are consequential to our maturing in Christ. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Knowing and understanding how God sees us is very important to the believer. One thing that it does is keeps us from having down time so that we would continue to apply ourselves to the life that God has put before us with strength and an exuberant, impassioned, enthusiasm.
In this TWO CD teaching, Dr. Hohman brings an understanding of why God sees the believer as a DOVE and how we as believers are to be as this symbol of peace. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Ecclesiastes 10:4 says, "If the spirit of the ruler rises against you, Do not leave your post…" There is something about, staying put, which is vital to our life. It is something that our Father accomplishes in us as we work to keep the relationships and the tasks that the Lord has given to us. When Jesus made His triumphant entry into Jerusalem, He asked His disciples to fetch a colt of a donkey. However, not just any colt - it had to be the one that was tied up. In this two part teaching, Dr. Hohman will reveal the wonderful blessings that the Lord has for us as we learn to stay in our relationships and hold to our assignments. By: Dr William P. Hohman
1 Peter 5:8 says, "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour."
In this set of 3 CD's Dr. Hohman explains the tactics of the devil and how to walk free from them. Looking at the devil's tactics is not to fill you with fear, but to assure you that no matter how powerful Satan may seem, the Spirit of God within you is far greater. Remember, Jesus said, "I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it." Satan will try to prevail against individual believers as well as against the church as a whole; however, we have Jesus' promise of victory.
The church cannot stay dormant but must be preparing for action. This teaching is a wonderful training tool in the Word to enable us to go out and defeat the devil.By: Dr William P. Hohman
We call ourselves men and women of faith, and so we are, but we need to define faith. We need to know According to the Word of God, "...faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Heb 11:1). Not seen with what? Not seen with the natural eye. Just because faith cannot be seen with the natural eye does not mean that faith does not exist; it means that you cannot see it. In the spirit realm faith has substance. That substance is what we are hoping for and cannot see with the natural eye but we are confident that it is ours in this life. Elements of simple application to life that allows God to fulfill His promises and our destiny. Through this teaching your life will grow exceedingly in the Kingdom of God and in The King of kings, Jesus. By: Dr William P. Hohman
Colossians 2:19 says that we are to hold to the Head, who is Christ, from whom the whole body, in all its parts are nourished and strengthened by joints, which are its points of contact, and its connections, which are its ligaments and muscles, grows and increases with a divine growth while being nourished by and with God Himself.
In this 6CD series, Dr Hohman will teach you how the Spiritual Church is put together and then is to be clothing of our skin we would be unable to be identified. As God restores His Church, this world will then see Jesus and recognize Him in all His Glory through the true believers. By: Dr William P. Hohman
The word "Intercession" is defined as: An entreaty in favor of another; and - To intervene between parties with a view to reconcile differences. In this, much requested 7CD set, Dr. Hohman teaches about Jesus as the Great Intercessor, (which is the family business), showing the heart that He had and the stand that He had to make. Then Dr. Hohman reveals what true intercession is, what true intercession is not, and the great benefits for our lives as we choose to follow in that family business and work to build the Kingdom of Heaven.
Our hearts are the most important part of our human make up, both in the natural and in the spiritual. Our hearts are the factory of our life, and it produces everything that we are and everything that we have. Jesus said, “A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil…”Luke 6:45. So we can see how virally important our hearts are, and how virally important it is to know how they work and just like our natural hearts, how to keep them working properly. In this 7 CD se, Dr. Hohman teaches, “How to heal a broken heart”; “Humility of heart”; Building right heart treasures”; “Building bigger hearts”; “Testing the heart”; and “The established heart”. Remember a very wise man once said to, “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.” Proverbs 4:23
“Let me urge each and every reader to begin today a constant waiting upon God, an unrelenting, deep, quiet prayer life. When God leads out in prayer, follow earnestly. He is leading, there is something ahead. It is very destructive to rush into the white harvest fields with a prayer-less life. It spells defeat to God. The man who is winning most souls for God is he who lingers much and long in the closet of prayer.” ~Rev. Will Harney
Out of print since 1915, this book has heavily convicted me of a dimension of prayer that today’s Christians have lost. He prayed clear through until God answered mightily against every force that tried to oppose his cry for revival and even his own survival. By: Dr William P. Hohman
A book of declaration using over 330 scriptures to be used for meditations and confessions of God’s will for prosperity in our lives.
